Cambodia – Phnom Penh Day 3 Blazing Trail

Happy Birthday Kelvin! It’s a pop-up card made for Kelvin. It’s always nice to celebrate some one’s birthday overseas. It just make things really special. I wish I could celebrate my birthday overseas someday too but pity my birthday usually falls during the exams period. Today’s already the third day of our trip and things are just getting started. Bacon and fried eggs for breakfast. Excitement knocks on our door today! We’re going on a blazing trail where some of us will be travelling in jeeps or ATV to tour about the outskirts of the city. I wonder if it’s made of gold? The Cambodians love their tuk-tuks! So convertible!…

Cambodia- Phnom Penh Day 2 Snapshots

We were well-rested after a day of adjustment to the slow pace of this city. The sun was out and the wind creates a gentle breeze and tickles our skin slightly. Today was shopping day. The shopping list has rolled out and we were ready to spend our cash in exchange items which were to be donated to the schoolchildren in the villages. Hotel Breakfast. Buttered toast, coffee/tea,eggs with fresh fruits It’s nice and cheery to be waking up in the morning with such a hearty breakfast. The caffeine in my cup of tea gave me a boost of adrenaline to kick start the day. Oopps. I’m sorry. We were…

    Hotel Room Check-In Exploration

Marina Bay Sands Hotel @ Marina Bay The hotel room is always full of surprises. A cheap motel gives you cockroaches with babies attached and other creep crawlers lurking in the corners of the room. On the other hand, luxurious hotel like Marina Bay Sands Hotel gives a dream of a lifetime. Make sure you give yourself a tight slap before entering such exquisite rooms. Before you leapt into the comfy bed, embark on a mini exploration trip right in the heart of your room. Featuring 3 tall towers which stood towering before me. I was given a complimentary deluxe room (39 squared-meter ) which is house in tower 3.…

Sovereign Hills: Back to the Future

Sovereign Hill @ Ballarat 10 September 2011 50 years ago… Stepping into the past… Wall of fame. Didn’t knew dressing up can be that fun! The Hills are alive…with the sound of music. Lalalala…. Weiding in his Charlie chopin-look alike costume. Willy Wonka OR Charlie Choplin? Back in those olden days. Anyway, I was wrongly accused as the horse thief who was also charged for furious riding. Oh well, my name was spelt with an extra “e” So I guess I got away with that.   “Eat that posion apply,Snow White!” “Raindrops on roses and bright coloured candies These are the few of my favourite things.” So, after the photo-taking,…
