Crustacean Celebrations
Chocolate Fodue Station
The most enticing feature of the buffet for me is actually their chocolate fondue. If only, we are allowed to coat our lobsters and fish with dark chocolate too.
You shouldn’t miss this! The chocolate fountain is relatively quite big. These people are really generous when it comes to chocolate.
This is practically like walking into Charlie’s Chocolate Factory Pop-up store. You have cookies, marshmallow, puffs, lady finger biscuits and so many other ingredients which you can dip in chocolate.
They even had this crêpe station where there’s a nice selection of toppings and fillings to go with… Nutella, peanut butter, jam, banana or how about some durian? Chef Andy recommended me to try their Durian Crepe served with a scoop of ice cream and IT WAS DA BOMB.
Suddenly, my vision became super clear and I don’t even think the haze can hinder me from seeing the beautiful spread of buffet items which seems to glow under the warm lightings.
Oh, beef lovers. I must have got you there.
That has to be the Penang Laksa Station. YOU HAVE TO EAT THEIR PENANG LAKSA or you will regret.
Don’t blame me if I’ve drifted off too far from the main theme of seafood as I am more of a sweet tooth. Some highlights of the seafood buffet is the Pacific “Live” Yabby, Indonesian Mud Crab, Chilean Scallop with Roe and Boston Lobster. Baby, this is where you get the REAL STUFF.
Sashimi. Woo…
Now, that was what I was talking about!
Their hearty buffet spread was well-balanced with a fruit section where fresh fruit juices were served.
Truly devilish. Oh no, I think I missed the Crème brûlée! Why didn’t I noticed that there was Crème brûlée?
Fallin’ in love with food once again.
1. Appetizer: Grab some leafy greens and juice to whey your appetite.
2. Order off the signature à la carte buffet menu first because these are their must-try dishes.
Their Penang Tamarind Laksa broth has literally lifted me off my seat and send me on cloud nine. It was simply heavenly. How could noodles ever tasted that smooth and silky? It just slips smoothly down my throat and the broth was so thick and flavourful. I almost burst into tears because I’ve never tasted a bowl of laksa that delicious. According to Chef Andy, these handmade noodles were brought in from Penang as you can’t get it here in Singapore.
So after you clean off your plate of the savoury food and seafood, you might want to start with the crepes first. Forget about Nutelle and Peanut butter, go local and try Durian Crepe. Scoop some lemongrass ice cream to go along with it. I wish I had space for a second serving of this…
And if you have more space in your tummy, you could try their Asian and International Buffet items like Satay, glutinous rice, cheese and more seafood.
And if you still have more space, try their prawn noodles. The broth has soaked up all the sweetness from the prawns. I remembered finishing the soup first before the noodles.
Take sips of water and green tea as you savor all the delicious food.
Make chocolate fondue your final sweet note to end the buffet.
No more food for me the next 8 hours that day but I had an enjoyable buffet with pleasant service staff who constantly check if the table is cleared and finding out if everything is okay.
