Lancôme:Trésor in Love

Launch in March 2010.
Eau de Parfum (50ml)
This bottle of love potion became part of my perfume collection after I stow it away from the perfume counter at Singapore Changi Airport for $79. Tresor in Love is a new interpretation of the older version of Tresor which smells more oriental and heavy. This new addition of perfume has a fresh, young and romantic appeal which is more suited for women in their 20s or 30s.

 Top Notes
Nectarine, bergamot, peach, sour pear
Middle Notes
Turkish Rose, Jasmine
Base Notes
Cedar

The top notes shows up pretty fast. On first whiff, the scent of nectarine and peach is rather distinct and it might trick you to think it’s a citrus, light, fruity perfume. I would classify it more of a floral perfume. But after about 15 minutes or so, the heart notes of the Turkish rose and jasmine starts to reveal. Not too long later, the scent of cedar begins to show up. The addition of cedar as the base note gives it a rather musky, woody scent that sinks nicely on the skin for a few hours. In my opinion, the base note was too heavy and somehow the scents doesn’t sit and react too nicely with my skin. It’s more suited for a night out to a prom or evening party rather than a day scent. It’s definitely an autumn or winter  fragrance.

If only the perfumer has concocted this fragrance with less cedar and more fruity and floral notes.
