Butter might make you scream the word ‘fat’ right in your head but you must understand that butter can be really healthy too, especially cocoa butter. This pale yellow vegetable fat extracted from cocoa beans is not only used in making chocolates but it is also used in making ointments and skincare products. Be in awed by the wonders of cocoa butter through the video shown below. Its natural antioxidants coupled with its emollient properties makes it a wonderful superfood for the skin.
I even had a tub of 100% cocoa butter by my bedside.
Main Ingredients
1) Cocoa Butter: A rich natural moisturizer heals dry and rough skin
2) Vitamin E: A powerful antioxidant that helps improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks and imperfections on the skin.
3) Shea Butter: It deeply moisturizes and nourishes to the skin keeping it soft and radiant.
Usage/Directions
Hold the spray can 3 to 4 inches from the skin and spray in a continuous motion then gently rub the product into the skin.
Verdict (Rating 5/10)
It uses an interesting technology to transform usual lotion and moisturizers to a spray form that really excites me to try it. The formular is lightweight and like what it mentioned in its product description, it absorbs pretty rapidly after some rubs and it leaves a non-greasy feel to the skin. This is one of the great feature of this product as most cocoa butter tends to leave a sticky and greasy feel on the skin unlike this spray lotion that leaves no tacky sensation once the product gets absorb into the skin.
It also functions as a emollient to prevent skin from dying out and healing other skin ailments rather than hydrating the skin. So I would apply some hydrating moisturizers on the skin before spraying Palmer’s Spray lotion on the same area. It would be one of my favorite products on my vanity table if not for its strong cocoa butter scent which could be quite a turn off though it just smelt like chocolate or cocoa butter. The scent is not unpleasant just like chocolates but you wouldn’t want your skin to smell like chocolate 24/7.
Another point to bring up is though the spray lotion ensures an even and smooth application across the skin, sometimes the product does not land onto your skin as you spray because the droplets are after all more dense than any fine hairspray or facial mist. This results in some form of a product wastage.
Palmer’s Rapid Moisture Spray Lotion Deep Moisture is available at all Watsons, Guardian, Fairprice, BHG,
