If you are a buffet fanatic, you should not give the buffets here at Pan Pacific Orchard a miss. The buffets offered at 10 at Claymore is by far one of the most reasonably priced buffets offering a good spread of seafood and meat delicacies. They are known for their Asian specialties like Penang Laksa and Char Kuay Teow so if you into Asian cuisine, you can sample some of the very best local, Malaysian or Peranakan dishes prepared by their Executive Chef, Andy Oh.
This time Pan Pacific Orchard is unveiling their brand new High Tea Buffet – Weekend Teatime classics at 10 at Claymore. It’s not your usual high tea buffet where you get to enjoy more sweet treats over savoury ones. Over here, there’s a good spread of savoury food which include some of their best dishes like Yong Tau Foo, Singapore Laksa, Satay, Dim Sum and Swiss Melted Cheese Raclette. They also include some special sweet treats like Homemade Charcoal Scone and Durian Crepe.
Yong Tau Foo
This is not your ordinary Yong Tau Foo you purchase at Food courts or Hawker centers. The broth is very tasty and the ingredients used were very fresh.
Singapore Laksa
It didn’t taste like the traditional kind of laksa with lots of coconut milk added to it but it is SUPER delicious! Perhaps it is more Chinese-inspired kind of laksa noodles? The broth is very flavourful and you could almost say that it’s the upgraded version of laksa made in a fine-dining style.
Homemade Charcoal scones
It goes really well with creme fraiche and the sweet fruity jams that came along with it.
Other than the Weekend Teatime Classics, there’s also the Spring Time Oyster Rhapsody (lunch at dinner buffets) which features Chinese New Year gourmet delicacies like Eight Treasures Lotus Leaf Rice, Fatty Choy with Sea cucumber and Superior Fish Maw Soup.
