There isn’t a Blue Bottle Coffee outlet in Singapore yet but they have recently launched a series of exclusive coffee seminars and pour-over workshops at LUMINE Singapore’s global flagship store in Raffles City Shopping Centre. You can also purchase their limited-edition merchandise at the store itself.
Coffee Seminars and Workshops
These coffee seminars and workshops are not to be missed (especially if you are a fan of their coffee). You will be learning from the masters themselves. The workshop is led by Blue Bottle Coffee’s Global Director of Coffee Culture, Michael Philips and their Senior Director of Global Coffee Experience, Benjamin Brewer. Cafe Trainer, Justin So will also be there to guide participants through the fundamentals of the art of pour-over brewing.
Both the 30-minute introductory coffee seminar and the 75-minute Pour Over workshop are open to the public.
Coffee Seminar
The Coffee Seminar provides participants with an introduction to the world of pour-over brewing, under the guidance of their coffee professionals. You will get to learn from the brand’s over twenty-year-long history and observe a hand-drip brewing demonstration by Blue Bottle Coffee professionals. This also includes a tasting session of the freshly brewed coffee. The Class fee is $42 per pax. It is inclusive of a $40 voucher that can be redeemed at Blue Bottle Coffee’s retail concept store at Lumine Singapore on the day of the seminar.
Pour Over Workshop
This 75-minute hand-drip coffee experience is led by the brand’s professionals. Each session is capped at eight participants. You will be using Blue Bottle’s brewing tools to learn Blue Bottle Coffee’s signature hand-drip process. You will get to brew two distinct coffee profiles: Blue Bottle’s signature blend and their seasonal holiday single origin before tasting your coffee creations.
The Pour Over Workshop is available for a workshop fee of $100. It includes a complimentary pour-over kit (worth $66) and a 200g bag of coffee beans (worth $30-$33) selected by Blue Bottle Coffee’s coffee professionals. This is a steal especially if you are into hand-drip coffee.
I went through the pour-over workshop and it was an eye-opening experience to learn directly from the coffee masters themselves. The hands-on experience was useful as the trainers could guide you and provide you with feedback on the spot. The best part of the workshop is probably the tasting session where you get to enjoy a freshly brewed cup of Blue Bottle Coffee. I finally understood why their coffee would appeal to the masses. It was a well-balanced cup of coffee.

Holiday Merchandise
You can also purchase Blue Bottle Coffee’s new holiday merchandise. Among the offerings include Bella Donovan ($27), a Blue Bottle classic whole bean coffee with a bold, fruity and rich flavour profile that shines when brewed as a pour-over, French press or in a coffee machine.
For espresso lovers, the Hayes Valley Espresso ($27) is Blue Bottle’s most versatile espresso and is served globally in their cafes. Each luxurious shot delivers notes of orange and chocolate-laden bass notes, with a mouthfeel and voluptuous crema.
The Pour Over Kit ($66) is a perfect festive gift for any coffee connoisseur. The kit contains all the tools needed to recreate the perfect cup of pour-over from the comfort of your own home. It includes a Dripper that was scientifically engineered, a custom Kinto glass carafe, 30 sheets of Blue Bottle bamboo filters, and a comprehensive 56-page guide. This guide will help to refine brewing skills, ensuring each cup is as flavourful as those crafted in Blue Bottle Coffee’s cafes.
