Mentholatum Lip Gels: Q10,Vitamin and Hydraluronic Acid

Hi Beautiful! It’s beauty-time again where I will share the newest and latest beauty products in the market. Today, we will be zeroing on one body part – the lips. That’s the most delicate part of the face besides the skin around our eye area. Having problems with dry, cracked and chapped lips? It’s time to do something about it.

To remedy the problem, you got to drink lots of water (1.5- 2 litres per day! ) and slapped on some lip balm to moisturise the lips. Recently, Mentholatum (LipIce) has launched a new formulation of lip products – the lip gel! Well, it might not come as a surprise to most of you since there are already gel-based lip products in the market like lip glosses. However, this new series of medicated lip gels which comes in 3 different types mainly focuses on reviving your lip to it’s tip-top condition and maintaining look of healthy-looking lucious lips. The gel formulation would effectively penetrates crevices of the lips so all you have to do is just to smear the gel evenly all over the lips and smuck your lips before you leave the house.

Mentholatum Q10 Lip Gel

It helps to improve elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines while keeping lips moist and soft.

Beneficial Ingredients:

CoQ10 :  Maintains healthy and youthful-looking lips
Ceramide : Locks in and provides long lasting moisturizing to lips. Effective protection against chapped and sensitive lips
Maxi-Lip : Helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and keeps lips supple.

What I got to say?
Look, I know that CoQ10 ( or Vitamin Q) is a popular anti-aging ingredient for our skin but I’m just not too sure whether it will work on our lips. Even if it does, my question is, how many women are facing a problem in aging lips? With that said, I don’t really get the whole idea of the 3 different type of lip gel using different ingredients because in nature, they generally do a good job of moisturizing the lips to prevent dry and chapped lips!

Mentholatum Hyaluronic Acid Lip Gel ( intensive moisturization for your lips)

It effectively prevents dry, flaky, chapped lips while providing long-lasting moisturization to lips.

Beneficial Ingredients
Hyaluronic acid : Locks in moisture to provide long lasting, intensive moisturisation to lips
Panthenol (Vitamin B5) : Effectively moisturises and prevents chapped, dry lips
Collagen : improves lip texture and elasticity

What’s my take on this?
I personally prefer this lip gel out of the 3 different types because first of all, the product gets absorbed readily into the lip’s epidermis and secondly, the moisturizing effect lasted much longer. This could be explained by the property of hyaluronic acid which grabs moisture from the surroundings and clings to it tightly.

Mentholatum Vitamin Lip Gel
It consists of four different vitamins added to moisturise, protect, soothe and keep lips youthful-looking.
Beneficial ingredients
Vitamin A – moisturises to maintain smooth lips
Vitamin B2- prevents dry and chapped lips
Vitamin C – deeply moisturizes lips for supple bounciness
Vitamin E – repairs chapped lips for youthful-looking lips
Product Information

– Special gel formulation allows direct penetration deep into the lips, to reduce the appearance of fine lines and provide complete moisturisation and protection

My recommendation

If you have a preference for lip gels over lip balms, you might want to consider purchasing the hyaluronic lip gel or the vitamin lip gel. The vitamin gel is the one-size fits all lip gel that generally helps to maintain healthy-looking lips and at the same time, restoring the conditions of your lips to its healthy state. It works pretty much like your multi-vitamin capsule that consists a little of everything good for the body.

This is my second favourite in the lip gel series. The citrus-scent from the vitamin lip gel is certainly refreshing and the gel gives a cooling menthol sensation on the lips which might have a lip pluckering effect!

Though the application might be easier when using lip gels, I still prefer my trusty old lipbalm because I  find the gels a little too glossy and wet on my lips. It’s a little too much for me. I go with the old saying – ” Less is always more!”

Great news! You can try it for yourself to see if it works for you.Get your sample size at
