Though Singapore is just a 7-hour flight apart from Singapore, there are a lot of popular Korean beauty products and brands which are not made available in Singapore yet.If you’re a Korean beauty junkie, you might either to have fly to Korea to ship back boxes of Korean products which can last you for a decade or to plead your relatives and friends who were going to Korea for a holiday to buy a carton of Hanskin or Tony Moly products.
But here’s the good news. You can now shop online for Korean beauty products over here in Singapore through this online beauty store called Beauty in the Eyes, which offers the latest beauty products from Korea. It offers brands like Laneige, Tony Moly, Lioele, Missha and many more. And it’s now just convenience that this online store could provide you with, it also helps you to save some money with it’s discounted prices which are much cheaper than ones sold in beauty stores here in Singapore.
This website will be launching today, on 10 October 2013! And just last week, the people behind Beauty in the Eyes, in collaboration with Streetdirectory, had organized a high-tea session at BlissHouse for the bloggers.
I really thought it was just a short briefing or talk about Beauty in the Eyes over high tea delicacies, macarons and cups of tea but I was wrong – we need to exercise some of our brain juices. It was one of the few media events where I got all excited about answering pop quiz questions to earn prizes. We were split into three teams and it was a competition between the teams to find out which team could answer the most number of questions correctly. The questions asked were surprisingly really good and educative for us beauty junkies. Well, at least now I know that all-time famous Korean skincare brand, Laneige is actually a combination of two french word, ‘ La neige’ which can be translates to ‘ the snow’.
The final brain juice squeezed took place when each team were tasked to select a Korean beauty product sold at Beauty in the Eyes and do a product commercial on it. The team with the best beauty ‘commercial’ will emerge as the winner!
Our team picked this quirky cute product called Tomatox by Tony Moly. I’ve also used one Tony Moly product, the peach hand cream, which is one of the best-selling hand creams in Korea. It’s unique selling point has got to be the scent of the peach hand cream which smells of peaches and cream.
Tomatox turns out to be a facial cream mask that promises a fairer skin.
After a brain work-out, I’m just glad that our high-tea tiered food plates came.
It’s a really pretty place to have high tea if you’re into pink, florals and princesses.
Both the savoury and sweet pastries were really quite satisfying.
After all that games and high-tea, we ended the session with a group photo and a little tour on our own around this dining premises. It’s pretty huge and since it’s my first time coming to Blisshouse, I was actually blown away by its Victorian-style decor that exudes pure white elegance.
There’s even more reason to do so when it is offering up to 40% discounts with free local delivery from 10th October to 20th October 2013. For more information, visit Beauty in the Eyes website or their Facebook page.
