Bio-essence Tanaka White : New and Improved Range

One of my more popular blog post is on the topic of achieving fair skin. So I reckon that skin whitening products are probably doing very well in the market judging by the fact that many believes that being fair is beautiful. Fortunately for me, I do have a rather fair skin but definitely not as white as Snow White’s porcelain fair skin.

However, the current newly-formulated whitening products targets more than just lightening the skin tone. It also lightens dark spots, freckles and and even out the skin tone.More importantly, it also brings radiance back to the skin. Overall, there will be more clarity in your skin.

Bio-essence has recently launched their new and improved Tanaka white series that consists of Tanaka Intensive White Serum and Double Whitening Day Cream.

The 4X Intensive White Serum is rather thick in texture, almost like a lotion. For a serum, it’s rather rich so I tend to go easy on it and use it sparingly. It’s very moisturizing so I actually use it as a night moisturizer. I also recommend this product for those with mature skin as it might be too rich for those in their early or mid twenties.

This serum is 4 times the whitening effect because it contains 4 ‘whitening agents’ – Tanaka Extract, alpha-Arbutin, Kojic Acid and Tranexamic Acid.

Tanaka Extract

This extract comes from the Tanaka tree bark that helps the plant to block out harmful UV rays and external pollutants. It also has excellent deep nourishing and hydrating properties to reduce free radical damage in the skin.

Alpha-Arbutin

Kojic Acid

It comes from the fermentation process of making sake. It has antibacterial and antifungal properties that effectively lightens freckles and pigmentations and evens skin tone.


Tranexamic Acid

Tranexamic Acid is a whitening agent which inhibits the production of melanin, thus effectively preventing blemishes and formation of dark spots beneath the skin.

It can be a little hard to dispense the product from the dropper because the serum is too thick. It would be better it is packaged in a small bottle equipped with a pump.

Tanaka White Double whitening day cream has SPF 20 to shield the skin from UV rays. It contains active ingredients like Tanaka Extract, Tranexamic Acid, Ginseng Extract, Angelica Extract and Ginkgo Extract to maintain fairness in the skin and spur cell renewal process during the day.

Like the intensive white serum, the product formula for this day cream is also rather thick. A little product is all you will need to help maintain fairness in your skin. Warm up the product with your hands and make sure you apply this product onto your skin till the product is fully absorbed by your skin.

I don’t think I have ever come across such a skin whitening product found in our local drugstores that is enriched with several intensive whitening ingredients. If I am already fair, then using this product might make me look as white as a sheet of paper. Wouldn’t it?
