So if you have read my previous post on how DBS wants to spark your dream, you might have already caught a couple of episodes of their mini-series called Sparks. It stars veteran Asian actor Adrian Pang, Hong Kong Actor Richard Ng, Seattle-born Hong Kong model Jamie Ha and UK-born singer James Yang.
If you have not, it’s not too late! You can always binge-watch at anytime and anywhere as long as you have access to the internet. Forget about Korean dramas, this mini-series, Sparks, is short and sweet and thankfully, it doesn’t give you that hang-over feel which Korean dramas would give you. When I first caught it online, I was glued to the first episode. Each episode injects a fresh perspective of how bankers navigate work and their personal lives. It sort of debunked the belief that I have of bankers – head-strong individuals who were motivated by money.

This industry-first mini-series is inspired by true stories and you get to see how a group of young bankers challenge the status quo to go above and beyond when solving unusual client challenges. It’s a well-made series which truly conveys the meaning of banking, and to challenge the perception that banking is only about transactions.
As you binge-watch, you can gather your family and friends together to watch all the 6 episodes over a meal or a snack.
