Hi, Glitzies!
It’s been quite a while ever since I actually wrote a blog post that comes off straight from my heart. I hope that life has been exciting for you and I hope that my blog post and sharing have greatly benefited you in one way or another.
The world is indeed getting darker and darker with many unforeseen tragedies that are happening all over the world. But let’s not forget that there are also plenty of wonderful news that is happening at the same time as well. As my pastor would put it, ‘the world is getting darker but the church is getting brighter.’ Two years ago, I went back to Christ and has never regretted since. The promises of God in the Bible were indeed true and the prophecies are real. For the believers, we understood that there’s more to this world and that the true eternal life is in Heaven. We are comforted not by the tangibles but by the intangibles – God, the Almighty – whom we can’t see it right before our eyes but whom presence can be felt. And because of that, we know that when the world is against us, God is always there for us and cheering us on. And when you know that there’s Daddy God standing right behind you, the fear gradually melts away.
What to do when the world is against you?
Eat.
Have a feast with the Lord.
I was watching this sermon by Rick Warren on YouTube and it reminded me of how God is our greatest supporter.
For the Bible says,
” You prepare a banquet for me in front of my enemies.” Psalms 23:5a
I’ve also heard my own church pastor mentioning about ‘eating’ when you are facing a battle. The battle is the Lord’s.
“And surely, he drew you from the mouth of distress, to a wide place, unrestricted, and to the comfort of your table filled with rich food.” Job 36:16
Expect the unexpected. That’s how loving and creative our loving Heavenly Father is. When we are weary and tired of living in this world, He comes to us with our favourite food – loads of it. He stretches out His hand and invites you to have a feast with Him, in the presence of your enemies.
” He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love. ” Song of Solomon 2:4
You can watch the video below for Rick Warren’s full sermon.
I’ve encountered failures and rejections many times before in my life. Whenever I feel dejected, I look to the Lord and garner strength. And when you believe in Him wholeheartedly, you start to witness the flow of blessings from God. But at times, I would forget about how great He is and constantly looked downwards things start to fall apart. But my partner, closest friends and church would remind me of his unfailing love and that helped me to feel loved again.
My friend, the food here that you should be feeding on is not meat or any expensive food. It is God’s holy word that you should be constantly be feeding on. It empowers you and gives you strength to fight in the battle. Have communion with the Lord too. Break bread and drink wine in remembrance of Jesus Christ who has suffered on the cross for our sins. The price has been paid and our Daddy God wants us to suffer no more.
What are you waiting for? Just receive and fill yourself His love. It’s the easiest thing. When the world seems to think that achieving happiness is impossible, God is here to tell you that with HIM, everything is possible.
