Miss going for mass running events?
I used to go for running events because nothing beats the feeling you get when you accomplish a common goal with others. That sense of accomplishment just keeps you going and that is why running can be addictive. However, with the pandemic, running events are cancelled. But thank goodness, we can still do virtual runs where we are able to run anytime and anyway on our own and clock our own running distance and timing. I’m just glad that there are still virtual running events to get people running on their feet again. I was even more elated when I was invited to join Herbalife Nutrition 40th anniversary Virtual Run. This will be my first virtual run.
To celebrate the Herbalife’s 40-year track record of bringing good nutrition to people and communities around the world, the company decided to organise a virtual run for anyone to participate in. You can participate in the race as an individual or as a team – with 4km, 24km and 40km for the individual race category; 24km, 40km, 60km, 80km and 100km for the team race category. The top runners for the Individual and Team categories will also stand to win up to S$450 worth of prizes.
Herbalife Nutrition Virtual Run Registration kit
To help prepare yourself for the run, Herbalife Nutrition has lined up a series of virtual run training content which includes online ‘fit’ sessions and sports nutrition talks. You can even purchase for yourself a Herbalife Nutrition Virtual Run registration kit. The registration includes a set of Herbalife Nutrition supplements to help optimise your health.
Once you purchase the registration kit, you will receive a unique entry code which allows you to register for the virtual run. And once you have signed up, you can start to run! Once you have completed your run, you will just have to submit a screenshot of your running time and distance to Herbalife Nutrition. You may use any GPS Running trackers or treadmill that can provide you an accurate tracking of time and distance.
Once you’ve submitted, you will be receiving your e-certificate and medal in February 2021. It is that easy! And it will be even be more fun to run with your family or friends!
My Virtual Running Journey
I have yet to start my run because I wanted to try out the Herbalife Nutrition supplements to get my health on track while training for my run. Even though I only signed up for the shortest distance (4 KM), I still want to do well in the run and improve my running performance. So I decided to set a running goal for myself. My goal is to finish 4KM in less than 20 minutes. I’m not sure if I could do that considering that I haven’t been running for a long time but I am positive that I can train myself up to do so! So wish me luck and check out my next blog post to see if I manage to reach my goal!
