I’m currently myopic and I am relying on contact lenses and glasses to help me explore this world with a clearer vision. You could say that it’s pretty cool to be short-sighted because you get the opportunity to put on coloured circle lenses that enlarges the size of your pupils and wear retro-looking or stylish glasses that makes you appear fashion-forward. And by the time you hit 40, you might not have the chance to play with all these ‘eye accessories’ to make yourself look good. Yay! In fact, when you’re in your forties or fifties, you might encounter the problem where you can only see nearby objects and small texts clearly when held further away from your eyes. This condition is known as Presbyopia (a.ka Lao Hua in mandarin). Presbyopia is a condition which develops with age, particularly affecting those aged 40 and above.
Many of us now spend a large part of our days in front of computer/TV/mobile screens reading text of various sizes. At the end of the day,we may notice that the text becomes even more difficult to read.
These multifocal contact lenses allow light from all manner of distances to enter and reach the back of the eye, allowing for a clear and focused picture however far away the objects are. Additionally, there has been a recent push to produce multifocal contact lenses which correct multiple issues. As we get older, there is a tendency for our eyes to become drier, as we do not produce as much tears as before. Such dry eye syndrome often goes hand in hand with the development of Presbyopia.
Proclear Multifocal contact lenses allow an improvement in all distance vision as well as treating the symptoms of dry eyes, by keeping the eyes moist all day long. When you experience such great comfort in wearing a pair of contact lenses that give you clear vision and focus, you will feel like as if you are ready to conquer the world.
